[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] About 350,000 new Hyundai Cards were issued a month after Apple Pay landed in Korea. This is more than double the same period last year. Apple Pay's main users are in their 20s and 30s, and it was analyzed that they paid the most in convenience stores and delivery apps.

According to major indicators released by Hyundai Card to mark the month of the launch of Apple Pay on the 7th, about 355,000 new cards were issued during the month from March 21 to March 20, up 156% from the same period last year (138,000). 237,000 credit cards and 118,000 check cards were issued.

Among these new members, 91% of Apple device users registered Apple Pay. By age group, those in their 20s (51%) were the most. It was followed by those in their 30s (28%) and 40s (12%). The company says the number of new registered tokens has surpassed 2 million in three weeks, increasing.

Meanwhile, according to the credit card platform card gorilla, users satisfied with the service cited the fast payment speed, the convenient payment method, the payment of Apple Watch, and the convenience of not having a card as the reasons for their preference.
