[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Hyundai Motor and Kia announced on the 17th that they have made a paid-in capital increase of 30 billion won to the Korea Electric Vehicle Charging Service to strengthen their competitiveness in the domestic electric vehicle charging market.
First of all, Hyundai Motor and Kia will work with the Korea Electric Vehicle Charging Service to build 3,000 ultra-high-speed chargers by 2025 to cope with the demand for high-speed chargers in the city, which has increased due to the expansion of the new electric vehicle lineup that can use the 800V system.
Hyundai Motor and Kia plan to apply electric vehicle charging service platform (E-CSP) and electric vehicle charging technology platform (E-CTP) to single-charging high-speed chargers to provide the best charging service experience to customers.
