[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] CJ CheilJedang announced on the 21st that it has expanded its Schwan's pizza plant in Salina, Kansas, by about 40,000㎡. Schwan's is a US frozen food company acquired by CJ CheilJedang in 2019.

With this expansion, the Schwan's Salina pizza plant has become the world's largest frozen pizza production facility with a total of 90,000㎡. It's about the size of 12 soccer stadiums. It produces representative products of Schwan's, Red Baron and Tony’s.

CJ CheilJedang is also expanding its logistics center in Salina factory. The logistics center, which will be completed in 2025, will be responsible for the distribution of K-food products in the United States, including Bibigo, along with frozen pizza.
