[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Jeju Air received the highest rating in the government's service evaluation of 26 domestic and foreign airlines. The evaluation rating of Korean Air, which had been under fire due to a series of accidents, fell one notch.
According to the "2022 Air Traffic Service Evaluation Results" released by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on the 24th, Jeju Air, Aero K and Fly Gangwon received "A*" ratings side by side in terms of domestic flight time compliance.
Air Seoul received the lowest 'B(B)*' rating among the airlines to be evaluated. Jeju Air, Air Busan, Singapore Airlines, Emirates Airlines, Etihad Airlines and Thai Airlines received the highest ratings of "A*" in terms of international time compliance. Air Canada was the only one to receive a 'D' rating. There are a total of four airlines that received B ratings, including Fly Gangwon (B*), American Airlines (B*), Delta Airlines (B*), and LOT Poland Airlines (B).
"Korean Air's rating dropped due to the contact at Heathrow Airport in London in September last year and the departure from the runway while landing at Cebu airport in the Philippines in October," the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said.
