POSCO E&C Wins KRW 1.5 Trillion LNG Terminal Project in Thailand

[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Seoul, July 1 — POSCO E&C announced that it has signed a construction contract with Gulf Development, a private energy investment firm in Thailand, for the “Gulf MTP LNG Terminal” project, valued at approximately KRW 1.5 trillion (USD 1.1 billion).
The project marks Thailand’s first public-private partnership (PPP) for an LNG terminal, and will be located in the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, about 130 km southeast of Bangkok.
Under the agreement, POSCO E&C will be responsible for constructing two LNG storage tanks and unloading facilities, establishing a vital energy infrastructure to support Thailand’s growing energy demands.
