Ministry of Labor begins on-site investigation of LG Display related to 'employee death'

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] The Ministry of Employment and Labor has launched an on-site investigation into LG Display's recent employee death.
Officials at the Seoul Southern Office of the Ministry of Labor are investigating LG Display's headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, today morning (31st) without notice.
Earlier, an LG Display team leader-level employee in his 40s was found dead on the Han River in Yeouido, Seoul, on the 19th.
Controversy erupted over the death of A in the office community blind, raising suspicions that he suffered from excessive work burdens.
LG Display has formed an independent task force centered on outside directors in relation to the death of employees to deal with the situation and prepare countermeasures.
