[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] POSCO launched six subsidiaries specializing in maintenance.

POSCO held an inauguration ceremony for a maintenance business company today (1st) at Pohang Works and Gwangyang Works, attended by a total of 300 people, including Vice Chairman Kim Hak-dong, President Lee Si-woo, and maintenance company employees.

There are a total of six maintenance companies established by POSCO this time, three each in Pohang and Gwangyang by region.

The mission was decided as POSCO PS Tech and POSCO GYS Tech, which are in charge of maintenance of the shipbuilding process, POSCO PR Tech and POSCO GYR Tech, which are in charge of maintenance of the rolling process, and POSCO PH Solution and POSCO GY Solution, which are in charge of maintenance of electricity and machinery.

Previously, POSCO has established a maintenance plan for its steel mill facilities and its partners have been carrying out maintenance work, but in the future, maintenance companies will take the lead in carrying out maintenance activities in specialized technical areas such as steel and rolling process facilities and electricity and storage.
