"We started construction of our fifth plant in Songdo in April," CEO John Lim said at a CEO press conference at the Sea Port District in Westin Boston on the 5th (local time). If the operation takes place early, the fifth plant will be completed about a year earlier than the third plant of the same size.

Samsung BioLogics previously held a board meeting in March and decided to expand its fifth plant with an annual area of 96,000㎡ with a total investment of 1.98 trillion won by September 2025. "We are trying to operate faster because orders are coming in well," CEO John Lim added.

The construction of the second bio campus has also begun in earnest with the early construction of the fifth plant. The campus will have four 180,000-liter plants, starting with the fifth plant.
