[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Krafton announced on the 14th that it established its 11th independent studio, ReLU Games, on the 1st and appointed Kim Min-jung, who oversaw Krafton Special Project 2, as its CEO.
An official from Krafton said, "ReLU is a representative activation function that simplifies complex patterns in artificial neural networks. “We created our mission in the sense that we will pursue challenges and innovations based on resilience,” he said.
In the future, Lelu Games plans to continue trying to apply deep learning technology to the fun of games pursued by the in-house incubation program 'Special Project 2' launched by Krafton in 2020.
The first project is 'FOONDA: AI Puzzle'. The goal is to provide users with a hyper-personalized puzzle experience by creating puzzle stages through deep learning. Relu Games plans to prepare for the release of the mobile version of 'Punda: AI Puzzle' in the third quarter of this year.
It is also promoting projects to find fun in games through deep learning, such as 'Project Orchestra' using voice recognition.
