L&F, partnering with Mitsubishi Chemical of Japan... "Announcing the construction of an anode material plant within the year"

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] L&F announced on the 23rd that it had signed an MOU with Mitsubishi Chemical for the anode material business.
In the future, the two companies will discuss ways to cooperate, such as the scale of investment in the joint plant along with the development of next-generation anode material technology.
Mitsubishi Chemical is one of the global manufacturers of electrolyte and anode materials, which are battery materials. An L&F official said, "We will announce a plan to build a domestic anode material joint venture plant within this year."
L&F, which has joined hands with Mitsubishi Chemical, is expected to accelerate the strengthening of the battery material supply chain and de-Chineseization in accordance with the US Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).
Suan Choi, CEO of L&F, said, “Korean companies are leading the market in cathode materials as they expand their production capacity, but the technology development and localization rate of cathode materials is low.
