[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Com2uS Holdings' ambitious work, 'Zenonia', will begin official service at 0:00 on the 27th. Attention is focusing on whether it will be able to rank among box office hits in the domestic MMORPG market. The sales target presented by Com2uS Holdings is to achieve cumulative sales of 100 billion won within the year.
‘Zenonia’ is a new film that Com2uS Group is working hard to achieve. Com2uS, a subsidiary that has produced many hit games such as ‘Summoners War’, was in charge of development. The service company Com2uS Holdings’ top-level intellectual property (IP) ‘Zenonia’ was also utilized. This is an important title for both Com2uS Holdings and Com2uS. In fact, Com2uS Holdings also put in efforts in marketing activities, running TV commercials and large-scale outdoor advertisements.
This is not the first time Com2uS Holdings is targeting the domestic MMORPG market. In the past, 'Royal Blood' was released, but the results were not good. ‘Talion’, which was a hit in the Japanese market in the early days, also failed to achieve great results in Korea.
However, this time, ‘Zenonia’ seems to be different. The box office confidence is overflowing to the extent that the goal is to rise to the top of the sales rankings after the domestic release. The cumulative sales target for the year was set at 100 billion won.
The atmosphere before the service is also positive. The number of pre-bookings, one of the advance indicators, exceeded 2 million. It also reached the top of the Apple App Store popular game rankings in 8 hours after the pre-download started on the 23rd. It is currently ranked #2 in popularity on Google Play.
