[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Gumi City is making a leap into a K-defense city, with South Korea's leading defense companies in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, signing large-scale supply contracts or making large-scale investments in Gumi.
LIG Nex1 announced on the 26th that it has signed a contract to supply 350 billion won worth of guided missiles to the Defense Acquisition Program Administration.
As a result, LIG Nex1 will supply 220.5 billion won worth of fleet ship missiles produced in Gumi and 133.4 billion won worth of fleet-based missiles "Sea Dragon" to the Defense Acquisition Program Administration.
In January last year, LIG Nex1 signed a contract to export 4 trillion won worth of 'Cheongung-Ⅱ' produced in Gumi to the United Arab Emirates. In September last year, it announced that it would invest 110 billion won in Gumi.
