[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] HD Hyundai Electric, an affiliate of HD Hyundai's power devices and energy solutions, has won large-scale orders for eco-friendly power devices in the United States and Europe.
HD Hyundai Electric announced on the 27th that it has signed a power transformer supply contract worth a total of 2,136 billion won with Xcel Energy, a US energy company. This contract is the largest since the establishment of a single item.
The order is an ultra-high-pressure transformer for power plants built by Excel Energy in Texas, Colorado and Minnesota, and will be delivered sequentially for three years from 2025 to 2027. Excel Energy is a leading company in the conversion of eco-friendly power supply chains in the United States through investment in renewable energy.
HD Hyundai Electric has reported a series of orders from the U.S., the world's largest market in the renewable energy sector, following a large-scale transformer supply contract with American Electric Power (American Electric Power) earlier this year.
In addition, HD Hyundai Electric has taken its first step into the European offshore wind power market, winning orders for transformers and equipment worth a total of 79.2 billion won from Semco Maritime, a Danish offshore wind power company.
The order will be delivered to the "Baltica 2 Project," Poland's largest offshore wind power generation project, which is being developed by Semco Maritime as the organizer of EPC.
