[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Naver will unveil its super-massive AI (artificial intelligence) 'HyperCLOVA X' on August 24. Unlike existing generative AIs, it plans to introduce it as a Korea-centered super-large AI specialized in commerce, finance, law, and education.
Ha Jung-woo, director of Naver's Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (AI Lab), unveiled the schedule for the launch of the HyperCLOVA X at the launching ceremony of the Supermassive AI Promotion Council held at Naver 1784 in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, on the 29th.
105 large and small companies under the KOSA (Korea SW Industry Association) participated in the super-large AI promotion council, which was launched on the same day. The first chairman will be co-hosted by the LG AI Research Institute and Naver Cloud.
The company plans to play a pivotal role in enhancing and cooperating with the competitiveness of South Korea's super giant AI, which is considered the third-largest in the world, at a time when competition for super giant AI is intensifying around global big technology. It aims to create a foundation to strengthen ultra-large AI technology competitiveness, to create application services using ultra-large AI and expand the market, and to improve regulations for smooth business promotion.
