Samsung Display sued China BOE in the US ... "OLED patent infringement"

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Samsung Display filed a lawsuit with Chinese display company BOE for infringing on patents for organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) for smartphones.
According to the industry on the 1st, Samsung Display filed a patent infringement lawsuit against China's BOE in the Eastern District Court of Texas on the 26th.
The technology that Samsung Display claims to have been infringed on patents is four OLED display patents for all iPhones used since iPhone 12. Samsung Display claimed in its petition that BOE is infringing its patents by selling panels such as those used in iPhone 12 products in the U.S. market.
In May this year, BOE filed a counter-suit with the Chongqing First Intermediate People's Court, claiming patent infringement against Samsung Display's Chinese subsidiary and Samsung Electronics' Chinese subsidiary.
