[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Samsung Electronics is going to release a TV with LG Display's Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) panel. As the OLED alliance between Samsung and LG is becoming a reality, it is likely that there will be a significant impact on the TV and display industries.

According to the industry on the 5th, Samsung Electronics added an 83-inch OLED 4K TV model in addition to the existing 55, 65, and 77-inch OLED TV models in the July August catalog. Although the release date has yet to be confirmed, sales are expected to take place as early as July or August at the latest.

The product is equipped with LG Display's white OLED (WOLED) panel. In the case of 83-inch OLED panels, Samsung Display does not produce them, but only LG Display is released exclusively.
