[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will take corrective action (recall) for four BMW electric vehicles.
This is because some models of BMW electric vehicles lost power while driving and stopped.
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on the 20th, BMW will recall 17 of its four electric vehicles on the 25th.
The four models are iX, iX3, i4, and i4 M50. Recall 17 units sold.
Symptoms of these vehicles, identified by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, include suspension of charging, failure to start, or suspension of high-voltage systems while driving.
This symptom occurred because the integrated charging unit (CCU) did not work due to the misassembled circuit board.
We plan to replace the integrated charging unit entirely through recall.
BMW said, "We are discussing recalls with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport."
