[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Handsome, a fashion company affiliated with Hyundai Department Store Group, is focusing on strengthening its overseas fashion business. This year, it is actively expanding its portfolio by signing exclusive contracts with US lifestyle editorial shop 'Kith' and Canadian padding brand 'MooseKnuckle'.
Handsome announced on the 24th that it has signed an exclusive distribution contract with US lifestyle editorial shop and street fashion brand Kith.
Kith, which started as a small editorial shop in Brooklyn, New York in 2011, grew in collaboration with global fashion brands and famous fashion designers. Hansum plans to introduce Kiss's first domestic store in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, in the first half of next year. It is the fourth global store in Korea and the second Asian store after London, Paris, France, and Tokyo, Japan.
Handsome said it is expanding its brand as part of its strategy to expand its overseas fashion brand portfolio announced last year. The plan is to increase the number of overseas fashion brands to 20 by the end of this year and expand the product category to include perfume and other miscellaneous goods. Through this, the goal is to increase sales in the overseas fashion sector to around 1 trillion won in five years, more than double the current level.
