[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Kim Young-seop, former president of LG CNS, has been confirmed as a candidate for KT's next CEO.
KT's director recommendation committee interviewed former president Kim, former KT President Park Yoon-young, and Professor Cha Sang-kyun of Seoul National University to select former president Kim as the final candidate, and the board of directors confirmed it.
Candidate Kim joined Lucky Geumseong Co., the predecessor of LG, and retired as LG CNS CEO last year after serving as vice president of LG U+.
Candidate Kim will be officially appointed if he receives a vote in favor of more than 60% of the shares in the vote at an extraordinary shareholders' meeting scheduled for later this month.
