[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] WeMade (CEO Jang Hyun-guk) announced on the 9th that it has signed an exclusive license agreement with ActozSoft (CEO Guo Haibin) in China for 'Legend of Mir 2 · 3' through its 100% subsidiary.
Through this contract, ActozSoft has secured exclusive license rights for 'Legend of Mir 2 · 3' in China over the next five years. The contract period is five years and the contract amount is 100 billion won per year, totaling 500 billion won.
Wemade explained, "It is a separate contract from the existing damages." In March this year, Wemade received a total of 257.9 billion won worth of damages from the Singapore ICC Arbitration Court in connection with the "Legend of Mir 2" lawsuit.
Through the contract, Actozsoft will have all exclusive rights related to development rights, operational rights, reorganization rights, authorized rights and the right to crack down on the "Legend of Mir" game and intellectual property (IP) in China. Actozsoft expects it to serve as an opportunity for Mir IP to grow further in the Chinese market based on its strong ability to expand its Chinese business and promote the market.
