[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] GS Retail announced on the 17th that it will stop selling and collect all of its products after receiving complaints about foreign substances from its new product "cookat Silbi Kimchi Dumpling" sold on its distribution channels GS25 and GS Fresh Mall.
The product to be recalled was produced by Serin Foods and has a consumption deadline of April 25, 2024.
GS Retail recently received two complaints from customers that hard foreign substances were found inside while eating dumplings and started working with its product agency "cookat" and manufacturer "Seline Food" to find out the cause. The investigation confirmed that some pieces of the silicon conveyor belt were included during the conveyor belt test before the production of the product. The company immediately decided to stop selling the products and stop ordering them and collect them en masse.
The company informed its customers of the information on its website on the 16th and guided them about refunds and exchanges for other products. Customers who have already purchased it have been contacted by text messages to inform them of the return process.
"We are very sorry for causing concern to our customers about the quality issue of the products we sell," a GS Retail official said. "We will do our best to prevent recurrence and manage quality with product agencies and manufacturers."
