[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Shares of Samkee EV, which had been on the decline since its listing, jumped 27 percent on news of its 300 percent decision to increase capital for free.
Suddenly, stock prices surged, and institutional investors who invested before listing poured out. It seems that the company has realized its profits as stock prices have risen sharply since the volume of mandatory holdings commitment was lifted during the initial public offering (IPO) process.
According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system on the 21st, Samkee EV announced on the 17th that it decided to increase the capital free of charge.
Free capital increase means that the company issues and distributes new shares without receiving payment from shareholders. Samkee EV proceeds with a 300% free capital increase, which pays three shares per share. Currently, Samgiev common shares are 14,299,060 shares, which will increase to 57,196,240 shares after the free capital increase.
The base date for the allocation of new shares is September 1. Investors who want to allocate new shares must buy Samkee EV shares by the 30th. Considering the domestic stock settlement system, it is necessary to purchase two trading days in advance to be registered on the shareholder list.
In fact, Samkee EV also saw its stock price soar on news of a free capital increase. The closing price on the 17th, when the free capital increase was announced, was 18,700 won, up 26.7% from the previous trading day.
