[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] E-Mart 24 announced on the 28th that it will participate in the '2023 Drone Demonstration City Construction Project' with Gimcheon City and Ninano Company, a drone delivery company.

E-Mart 24 will select 'E-Mart 24 Gimcheon Yeongnam Daero' as its first drone delivery store and carry out drone delivery projects to nearby camping sites and rural housing complexes. It can be delivered to Sannaedeul Auto Camping Site, which is 20㎞ away from Gimcheon Yeongnam Daero Branch, and to Dogongchon, a rural housing village, which is 6㎞ away.

An E-Mart 24 official said, "We expect that we will be able to deliver drones to vulnerable areas such as camping sites and rural housing villages in Gimcheon."

"We will continue to eliminate blind spots in logistics by expanding drone delivery areas and upgrading services and shorten the last mile (just before the final destination) to enhance customer convenience," he added.
