HD Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has won four orders for super-large ammonia carriers

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] HD Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. said on the 7th that it has signed a contract with two overseas shipping companies to build a super-large ammonia carrier by participating in "GASTECH 2023" in Singapore.
The contract is signed by Singapore EPS, Greek Capital. Ulsan HD Hyundai Heavy Industries will build four 88,000㎥ ammonia carriers and deliver them one by one by the second half of 2027. The contract alone amounts to 616.8 billion won.
HD Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering is also considering converting the ship to an ammonia propulsion ship. This will create the world's first ammonia propulsion ship.
HD Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering also exceeded its annual order target with the contract. Until this day, 122 ships (including one marine) won $ 15.94 billion, recording 101.3% of the target ($ 15.74 billion).
