Three companies, including Hyundai Pharmaceuticals, were fined up to KRW 1.6 billion for accounting violations

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] At the 16th meeting on the 13th, the Financial Services Commission decided to impose fines on three companies, including Hyundai Pharmaceutical, company officials and accounting firms, who prepared and disclosed financial statements in violation of accounting standards.
Hyundai Pharmaceutical, which has the largest fine, was fined 1.6578 billion won for writing in violation of accounting standards. On the same charges, two people, including the former CEO, were fined 331.4 million won, while the Korea Accounting Corporation, which neglected the audit process, was fined 60.9 million won.
The Financial Services Commission imposed a fine of 553.6 million won on DA Technology for the same charges. Three former CEOs were charged 165.9 million won and 82.5 million won for accounting firms.
Four people, including the former CEO of listed company Mediforum, were also fined 331.4 million won for preparing financial statements in violation of accounting standards.
