CPO Kim Min-kyu, the founder of Line Games, quit the company

[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Kim Min-kyu, former CEO of Line Games, is said to have recently left the company.

According to the game industry on the 14th, former CEO Kim Min-kyu, who has been focusing on developing new projects as chief product officer (CPO) since new CEO Park Sung-min took office in February, recently quit Line Games.

Line Games explained that the reason why former CEO Kim quit was personal reasons. The future course of action is not known.

Former CEO Kim founded game maker Nextfloor in 2012 to release "Dragon Flight" and jointly developed game developer Shiftup and "Destiny Child."

Meanwhile, Kim is known to have maintained his 9.4% stake in Line Games during his retirement. The current largest shareholder of Line Games is Naver affiliate Line Corporation, which holds a 35.7% stake.

At the end of last year, Line Games selected Samsung Securities as the organizer of the Initial Public Offering (IPO) and began work to list on the KOSDAQ market.
