[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] L&F announced on the 18th that it signed a joint venture investment agreement (JVA) with Chemo Wave, a subsidiary of Yonsei University's technology holding company, to secure next-generation secondary battery material technology and discover new growth engines.
ChemoWave is run by professors with accumulated know-how in the field of material synthesis technology and holds about 40 patents at home and abroad. The two companies have been working together since last year and are currently conducting joint research with Carbon Nanotubes (CNT) on improving the performance of secondary battery materials using nanomaterials.
In addition, L&F has established a precursor joint venture with LS to strengthen its secondary battery business and internally embodies lithium, LFP, cathode materials and waste battery businesses. Through this research and development (R&D) seed investment, we plan to speed up our leap as a comprehensive battery material company as well as bipolar materials with the best technology.
