[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] SKC has decided to make a global production base for eco-friendly biodegradable materials business in Haiphong, Vietnam, and will invest in earnest.
SKC announced on the 25th that Ecovans, an investor in biodegradable materials business, received a IRC from Haiphong City at the Haiphong Conference Center in Vietnam on the 22nd.
The market is growing rapidly as the culture of reducing the use of disposable products spreads and related regulations increase. The industry predicts that the global biodegradable material market will grow more than 20% annually in the future.
SKC and Ecovans plan to build a PBAT production facility, a representative biodegradable material, with the aim of operating in 2025 with full support from the local government.
