[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Jeju Air will incorporate AKIS, an IT service company within the group, as a subsidiary to strengthen its digital capabilities and improve its financial structure through capital expansion.
Jeju Air held a board meeting on the 25th and announced that it has decided to incorporate the group AKIS as a subsidiary of Jeju Air through a three-way paid-in capital increase (investment in kind) method.
Jeju Air will push for a total of 40.4 billion won worth of third-party allocation paid-in capital increase for AK Holdings and Aekyung Asset Management, the largest shareholders, to secure competitive advantage in IT and expand capital. The total number of shares issued is 3,647,274 shares, and the issuance price of new shares is 11,080 won. The listing date for the new shares is December 13.
