[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Alan Turing Institute, a British national institution that studies data science and artificial intelligence (AI), has started to cooperate with Naver Cloud on AI technology.

According to the industry, the Alan Turing Institute visited Naver's second building, 1784, to discuss AI research cooperation with Naver Cloud executives. In particular, it is said that they have agreed on AI technology cooperation, including the use of large language models (LLM) and safe AI.

The Alan Turing Institute, established in 2015, is a research institute named after Alan Turing, a British mathematician and scientist called the "Father of Computer Science," who first preached the concept of AI. As prestigious British universities such as Oxford and Cambridge are participating in the research, it is considered one of the world's best AI laboratories.

The meeting with Naver Cloud is said to have started with a love call from the Alan Turing Institute. In other words, it is rumored that the Alan Turing Institute visited Korea as it expressed its desire to recognize Naver's global AI technology and seek cooperative relations.
