Hanwha Aerospace signs a UAM parts supply contract worth KRW 240 billion with the British VA

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Hanwha Aerospace, an aerospace, aerospace and defense company, announced on the 20th that it has signed a contract to supply 235.6 billion won worth of UAM parts with British urban air transport (UAM) company Vertical Aerospace (VA).
Hanwha Aerospace will supply the tilting & blade pitch system to VA by 2036, which is applied to the four-seater VX4, VA's electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL).
The system is a key part of the UAM that transmits motor power to propellers and enables vertical takeoffs and horizontal movement. Currently, VA is developing VX4 with the goal of commercialization in 2026.
