[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] KB Kookmin, Hana, and Woori Bank will operate branches at Incheon International Airport for the next 10 years from next year.
KB Kookmin Bank said it received a notice from Incheon International Airport Corporation on the afternoon of the 25th that it was selected as the preferred bidder as a result of bidding for the bank.
The planned location is business rights, and it is the first time in 10 years that KB Kookmin Bank will enter Incheon International Airport since 2014.
KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We will enhance the convenience of customers' financial transactions by entering Incheon International Airport, Korea's representative gateway."
Woori Bank and Hana Bank were selected as banks with second and third business rights to protect the Incheon International Airport branch.
However, Shinhan Bank, which has been operating at the airport for 10 years until this year, has suffered a setback in this bid.
