[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Solus Advanced Materials announced on the 27th that it recorded a consolidated operating loss of 20.4 billion won in the third quarter of this year. The deficit slightly increased from the same period last year (operating loss of KRW 19.6 billion).

In the third quarter of this year, the company's sales rose 5.3% year-on-year to 111.2 billion won and net profit turned into a surplus of 214.7 billion won. The sale price of Solus Biotech was temporarily reflected.

By business sector, sales of the battery and copper foil businesses rose 22.3% year-on-year to 83.9 billion won, while sales of the electronic materials business came to 27.3 billion won. The electronics sector remained similar to the previous quarter as demand for TVs and IT devices continued to slow down due to the global economic slowdown.
