[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Naver recently replaced some servers in Naver Place with Intel CPU (Central Processing Unit) instead of NVIDIA GPU (Graphics Processing Unit), which has difficulty in supply and demand.

According to Naver on the 30th, the artificial intelligence (AI) inference server applied to Naver Place has been converted from NVIDIA GPU to Intel CPU.

Naver Place uses AI in providing offline store information based on Naver map information.

Naver said it saved 400 million won annually by replacing NVIDIA GPU in the Place service with Intel CPU and maintaining its performance.
