[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] The HL Group, the backbone of the group's automotive sector, conducted a reshuffle of its regular executives on the 31st, along with the reorganization of its business division into 'electricized products' and 'existing hardware products'.
It is an organizational reorganization in the form of follow-up measures following the appointment of Vice Chairman Cho Sung-hyun as head of the auto sector in accordance with the strengthening of responsible management in August.
HL Mando currently integrates and reorganizes three business divisions (BU) such as brake, steering and suspension into two BUs, 'MDS' and 'RCS' to establish a responsible management system in the automobile sector.
The MDS (Mobility Dynamic Solutions) division is responsible for future electrification products such as electric and mechanical brakes. The RCS (Ride Comfort & Safety) division oversees existing hardware products such as brakes, calipers, and suspension.
The MDS division and RCS division will be headed by Vice President Chung Jae-young (photo), who served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Vice President Moon Sa-sam, former Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), respectively.
Also, seven Chief X Officer (CXO) by function were appointed to support BU. The global regional representative will also be renewed. Vice President Oh Se-joon of Europe, Vice President Lee Yoon-haeng of the Americas, Executive Director Choi Jae-young of India, and Vice President Park Young-moon of China will be in charge of the region.
HL Mando explained that the reorganization completely separated the electrification, hardware products and software campuses, and completed the responsible management organization with the structure of empowering the Robotics Division (MSTG), which is under the control of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The reorganized organization will go into effect on January 1 next year.
