[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] DB HiTek announced on the 31st that its operating profit in the third quarter of this year was 50.3 billion won. The figure is down 77.18 percent from the same period last year. Sales fell 40.14 percent to 267.8 billion won.

In the third quarter, sales amounted to 874.8 billion won and operating profit amounted to 223.2 billion won. The operating profit ratio is 26 percent.

DB HiTek recently announced that it will make an initial investment in GaN ( gallium Nitride) and SiC (Silicon carbide), which are seeing a surge in demand in electric vehicles, mobile devices, and data centers, which are attracting attention as next-generation power semiconductors. In August, the company secured 151,000 units of production capacity per month through investment in productivity improvement, including equipment expansion.

Meanwhile, DB HiTek will hold a third-quarter corporate briefing session for domestic institutional investors from the 1st to the 2nd of next month.
