According to KT on the 2nd, it signed a 'Business Agreement (MOU)' with Indonesian state-run news agency Telcom Indonesia (Telcom) in Jakarta, Indonesia, and held a 'Report on the Results of KT Consultation to Materialize Smart City Cooperation Items'.
Earlier, the Indonesian government asked for support from the Korean government to build a smart city in the new capital, Nusantara. It has established a close cooperation system with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's "One Team Korea," a public-private partnership support group in Korea.
Through the MOU, KT plans to actively cooperate in the development and construction of Indonesia's new capital smart city by combining KT's smart city, quantum cryptography communication and cyber security with Telcom's subscribers and network infrastructure. In addition, the two companies will discuss cooperation in the data center business in the new capital area through consulting. Based on this, the company plans to create a joint task force (TF) to expand its smart city business in various fields such as transportation, energy, and artificial intelligence (AI).
