[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of its foundation on the 5th, CJ Group pledged to break through the crisis with the management philosophy of "humbling."

CJ Group announced on the same day that it held a memorial ceremony for the first anniversary of the late adviser Sohn Bok-nam on the morning of the 3rd and held a private ONLYONE reconstruction strategy meeting presided over by Chairman Lee Jae-hyun in the afternoon. There was no special event for the 70th anniversary of the group level.

The strategic meeting was attended by Kim Hong-ki, CEO of CJ Corporation, and about 30 CEOs and executives of the group's affiliates. "The sense of responsibility is more important than ever to reflect on the only-one spirit at a time when the group's growth is stagnant," Chairman Lee said at the meeting. "Please be desperate to do it."

November 5 is the day when CJ CheilJedang, the mother of CJ Group, began making sugar for the first time in Korea at its Busan plant in 1953. Lee Byung-chul, the former chairman of the party, designated it as its founding anniversary, and CJ Group celebrates it as its founding day.

Sohn's memorial service, which took place at CJ Human Resources Center, was attended by relatives and CEOs of major affiliates, including Chairman Lee, CJ ENM Vice Chairman Lee Mi-kyung, Jaesan Holdings Chairman Lee Jae-hwan, CJ CheilJedang food growth promotion chief Lee Sun-ho, his granddaughter Lee Kyung-hoo and CJ Group Chairman Sohn Kyung-sik.
