[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Lock & Lock, a household goods company, will stop producing its Anseong plant.
Lock & Lock announced on the 6th that it will suspend production at its Anseong plant. It is to improve production efficiency and reduce costs. The production date is undecided. It will be released later.
Last year, annual product sales at the Anseong plant were 67.97 billion won. The amount includes sales of outsourced products. It is equivalent to 13% of Lock & Lock's consolidated total sales (521.21611 billion won) last year.
A Lock & Lock official said, "We plan to continue production in the future at domestic outsourcing companies and our own production facilities in Vietnam and China," and added, "It is expected that there will be no business impact due to the production suspension at the Anseong factory."
