[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Kim Dong-sun, the third son of Hanwha Group Chairman Kim Seung-yeon, was promoted from executive director to vice president.

Hanwha Galleria announced on the afternoon of the 8th that Kim acquired its shares and wrote Kim's position as vice president. Kim acquired an additional 240,000 shares of Hanwha Galleria from the 2nd to the same day, increasing his stake from 0.63% to 0.75%.

As a result, Kim was promoted to vice president about a year after he was promoted to executive director in October last year. Kim served as head of Hanwha Engineering & Construction's new growth strategy team in 2016 and senior secretary in charge of global strategy at Hanwha Energy in 2020, and was promoted to head of Hanwha Hotel & Resort's strategic division in October last year, about a year after serving as head of Hanwha Hotel & Resort's Premium Leisure Group in 2021.

He is currently the head of Hanwha Hotel & Resort's strategy division and Hanwha Galleria's strategy division, and is also in charge of strategic planning for Hanwha Robotics, which was officially launched in October.
