[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Roh So-young (62), director of the art center Nabi, who is in a divorce suit with SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won (63), said she could not comply with SK Innovation's demand for the eviction of the Seorin Building.

According to legal circles on the 9th, the Seoul Central District Court decided to open the first adjustment date for a real estate extradition claim filed by SK Innovation against the Art Center Butterfly Museum and try to adjust it again two weeks later.

"It is more important to be a representative of the museum than as an individual," Roh's lawyer said. "The museum should be protected as a cultural facility that stores art, and it has a responsibility and responsibility to take into account the interests of workers."

"There is no place to leave the artwork (if you leave) and all the employees should be fired," he said. "I asked if we should go this far just because we are getting divorced."

SK Innovation maintained its existing position by refuting that 'Director Roh is stalling'.

"Art Center Butterfly is linking the case to the divorce suit, a personal lawsuit by director Roh So-young, as it occupied space without permission even though the lease contract was terminated as of September 2019," SK Innovation said. "There is not only inconvenience to executives and employees but also management losses because they did not leave the office," SK Innovation said.

The real estate that SK Innovation is demanding eviction is on the fourth floor of the SK Group headquarters in Jongno-gu, Seoul, where Art Center Navi is located. Art Center Butterfly opened here in December 2000.

SK Innovation, which manages the Seorin Building, filed a lawsuit in April this year, saying that the contract with Art Center Navi was terminated around 2018∼2019, so the space should be emptied.

The divorce suit between Chairman Choi and Director Roh is currently under appeal. Roh is expected to attend the first hearing of the second trial scheduled for the 9th.

In December last year, the first trial found that Choi's SK shares were not subject to the division of property due to his unique property and admitted only 100 million won in alimony and 66.5 billion won in cash, but both sides appealed.
