Chung Ki-sun, vice chairman of HD Hyundai, was promoted to vice chairman from the president's appointment on the 10th. It is the first high-speed promotion in two years and a month since he became president in October 2021.

Chung joined Hyundai Heavy Industries as senior manager of its management planning team in 2013 and was appointed vice chairman after serving as head of its management support office, vice president and president in turn.

Vice Chairman Chung's promotion is expected to speed up HD Hyundai's management succession process. Currently, HD Hyundai Group is a professional management system, led by Chairman Kwon Oh-kap.
