[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] SK Hynix announced on the 14th that it will supply customers with a 16-gigabyte (GB) package of 'LPDDR5T', an existing highest-speed mobile DRAM that can transmit 9.6 gigabits (Gb) of data per second.

LPDDR5T is the first version developed by SK Hynix. It is a product that upgraded the performance of the 7th generation LPDDR5X before the 8th generation LPDDR6 was officially launched in the industry.

SK Hynix has been preparing to commercialize its products by verifying performance with global mobile application processor (AP) companies since it succeeded in developing LPDDR5T in January.

The LPDDR5T 16GB package operates at the lowest voltage standard range of 1.01 to 1.12V set by the International Organization for Semiconductor Standardization (JEDEC). The data processing speed of this package is 77GB per second, which is equivalent to processing 15 full HD movies in one second.

Recently, SK Hynix began supplying the product to Chinese smartphone maker Vivo.
