[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] It is heard that Samsung Electronics has recently recruited talent from global companies such as Google and Microsoft, including bureaucrats.

According to a quarterly report by Samsung Electronics on the 15th, Samsung Electronics recently hired Lee Byung-won, vice chairman of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, as an executive in charge of the IR team. The position is vice president. It is the first time in seven years that an executive from the Ministry of Economy and Finance has moved to Samsung Electronics since Kim Yi-tae, vice chairman of the company, in 2016 (currently vice president of Samsung Electronics' Win-Win Cooperation Center).

It has also strengthened the recruitment of talent from global companies. Ahn Yoo-jung, who was hired as an executive (vice president) of the Design Management Center, is known to have designed the prototype (prototype) of Google's autonomous vehicle. Ahn joined Google after Motorola was acquired by Google through LG Electronics and Motorola, and until recently designed an autonomous vehicle at Waymo, a subsidiary of Alphabet (Google's parent company).

The Mobile Experience (MX) Division also recruited Jonathan Lim, a former Microsoft (MS), as an executive in charge of the global mobile B2B team. The Global Manufacturing & Infrastructure Infrastructure Center also appointed Shin Jung-kyu, vice president of French environmental company Beolia, as its executive director.
