[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Samsung Electronics made an announcement on the 19th that it has supplied super-large smart LED signage to the "Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix 2023" in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The F1 Grand Prix, which was held for three days from the 16th (local time), is the world's best auto racing competition in Las Vegas in 41 years. Visitors watched racing videos through Samsung Electronics displays installed throughout the stadium.
The most notable part of the event is the F1 logo-shaped LED signage installed horizontally on the rooftop of the F1 stadium building with a total area of about 2,617 square meters. The Samsung Smart LED signage, which boasts a maximum brightness of 8,000 knits even under the sun, is about 147 length, longer than a soccer stadium. Samsung's LED signage was also installed on the outer wall of the F1 building, a total of three large audience screens and entrances.
A total of 25,000 LED modules were supplied by Samsung Electronics to the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, all of which can run two and a half laps around the Las Vegas F1 track (about 6.2 kilometers).
