[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] LGU+ came up with a compensation plan to compensate for the damage caused by the wired Internet connection failure earlier this month.
According to the industry on the 20th, LGU+ announced the 'Internet-related service failure compensation guide' on its website on the 17th.
LGU+ said it will additionally compensate users of Internet and Internet combined services who have experienced inconvenience in access with a daily fee equivalent to 10 times the failure time on the day of the failure.
For example, if a subscriber of "Premium Security 1 Giga," a monthly 42,900 won plan, suffered a three-hour disability, he or she will receive a total of 3,217 won, plus about 1,787 won, 10 times the amount of use per day.
However, for some of the combined services, three times the amount will be compensated according to the terms and conditions of use. Compensation will be automatically reflected in the November usage fee bill. The victim does not have to apply directly. Related inquiries will be available through the LGU+ customer center from the 20th.
During the LGU+ network inspection process on the 7th, an IP (Internet Protocol) distributor error caused subscribers to lose Internet access. This resulted in a failure from approximately 3 pm to 8 pm.
