[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Samsung Electronics paid executives nearly 300 billion won in long-term performance benefits by the third quarter of this year.
According to Samsung Electronics' quarterly report on the 21st, the accumulated amount of long-term incentives paid for executives in the third quarter of this year was 259.241 billion won on a consolidated basis.
As of the third quarter, Samsung Electronics had 1,156 unregistered executives and five registered executives, excluding outside directors. In a simple calculation, each executive received at least 220 million won in bonuses. The actual amount of money received may vary because it is paid differently depending on individual performance and not received by executives for less than three years.
Through the contract in the third quarter of this year, the provisions accumulated to spend long-term incentives in the future were 389.97 billion won. Samsung Electronics said it will appropriate the amount of money that is expected to be paid in the future as appropriation debt.
