[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Chung Yoon-yi, the third daughter of Hyundai Motor Group Honorary Chairman Chung Mong-koo, has become the largest shareholder of Haevichi Resort 3, inheriting all stakes in the Haevichi Hotel held by his family.
According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system on the 23rd, the entire Haevichi Resort stake (12.39%) held by honorary chairman Chung Mong-koo (4.65%), the eldest daughter Jung Sung-yi, advisor to Innocean (3.87%), and the second daughter Chung Myung-yi, president of Hyundai Commercial (3.87%), were sold to Jung Yoon-yi.
Jung Yoon-yi, who held a 3.87% stake in Haevichi Resort, increased his stake to 16.26% with the succession. The purchase price is 82,417 won per share. Chung Yoon-yi spent about KRW 54.5 billion on the purchase of the stake. President Jung Yoon-yi is in charge of the group's hotel business after his mother, the late First Lady Lee Jung-hwa, who was a major shareholder of Haevichi Resort.
CEO Jung Yoon-yi has become the third-largest shareholder of Haevichi Hotel with the purchase of the stake. It is the largest number among individuals except for corporations. Currently, the largest shareholder of Haevichi Resort is Hyundai Motor (41.90%). Hyundai Motor Co. and its president Chung Yoon-yi are tied up as related parties to the same person and the same person. Chung Eui-sun, chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, is the youngest of three daughters and one son.
