[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] SK Earthon announced on the 22nd that it has shipped crude oil that began to be produced in September to an oil tanker at the 'LF (Lufeng) 12-3' oil field in the 17/03 mining area in the northeastern South China Sea on the 21st.

SK Innovation Vice Chairman Kim Joon and SK Earthon President Myung Sung attended the shipment ceremony. They visited various oil production platforms and floating oil production and storage facilities in China's 17/03 mining area to examine business issues.

"The 17/03 block in China is the first case that has succeeded in crude oil exploration, development, production and shipping with SK Earthon's own technology," Vice Chairman Kim said. "This year marks the 40th anniversary since the start of resource development and the 34th anniversary of SK Innovation's participation in operating rights, which has paid off its potential to develop its capabilities without giving up despite numerous failures."

"I am happy that SK Chairman Choi Jong-hyun's dream of becoming a 'global operator' paid off when he reached the generation of SK Chairman Choi Tae-won," Vice Chairman Kim said. "Based on this, I hope he will grow into a global operator responsible for national energy security."

Crude oil shipped to oil tankers from floating crude oil production and storage facilities (FPSO) will be transported to designated destinations through water · underwater hoses. This time it will be sold to an oil company that has a factory in China. SK Earth-On shipped about 400,000 barrels of crude oil on the same day, which is about 15% of the country's daily oil consumption.
