[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Samsung SDS announced on the 29th that it has carried out regular executive appointments in 2024, including the internal promotion of executives in their 30s for the first time.

In this personnel reshuffle, two vice presidents and seven managing directors were promoted.

Kwon Young-dae, who was selected as an executive in his 30s, studied combination optimization technology using reinforcement learning and listed his paper in the Neural Information Processing Systems Society (NeurIPS), the world's most prestigious artificial intelligence (AI) society, for three consecutive years.

Samsung SDS explained that it has boldly hired talented people who have displayed achievements and capabilities beyond their age, including internal promotion of directors in their 30s for the first time since its foundation to foster the next generation of young leaders who will lead challenges and innovations for future growth. He also appointed female talent for seven consecutive years, including the promotion of director Sa Gong-kyung.

Samsung SDS plans to solidify its position as a cloud and digital logistics service company optimized for the corporate environment and further strengthen its IT technology leadership and business competitiveness.
